Lesson three – Get in Motion – Supporting our Soldiers – December 2009
When you are in motion helping others, you are doing something positive for them and for yourself.
My experience is that contributing a little money or time or both to causes I believe in is a positive motion I can also be proud of. It also makes me feel grateful, which, as I call the royal emotion.
Therefore I’m going to feature one new charity or worthy cause in this section each month. These are worthy causes that you may want to know about and help support. They will be over a wide spectrum and, hopefully, ones that you might be interested in.

Since it is Christmas time, what better cause is there than helping our soldiers?
Contact: Soldiers’ Angels Operation Outreach (626-529-5114).
Their web site lists about 30 different teams and projects to help soldiers – all with individual links to further explain each program. The variety is amazing. There is something that everyone can do – from donating money, writing letters, to adopting a soldier, to baking.
I strongly encourage your help. One of the biggest challenges for a soldier is loneliness. Any support from the outside world is deeply appreciated. I know; I’ve been there.
Take some time and get involved. |
